Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science
Welcome to the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BSMLS) Program! Medical Laboratory Science is a
vital field in healthcare, playing a crucial role in disease detection, diagnosis, and treatment. The BSMLS program
is a four-year degree that equips students with the knowledge and technical skills needed in modern laboratory
medicine.
Through a comprehensive curriculum covering Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology &
Serology, Immunohematology (Blood Banking), Clinical Microscopy, Parasitology, and Histopathologic / Cytologic
Techniques, students learn to operate advanced diagnostic instruments and apply cutting-edge laboratory techniques.
The fourth-year internship provides hands-on experience in CHED-accredited laboratories, ensuring real-world
application of theoretical knowledge.
Graduates are prepared for careers in clinical laboratories, research institutions, public health,
biotechnology, forensics, and academia. They are also eligible for the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination
(MTLE) and international certifications such as ASCP and AMT.
Join us in shaping the future of healthcare through innovation and excellence in Medical Laboratory Science!
